Hougner Protocols in Biomedical Science (HPBS, ISSN:2410-2555 ) publishes papers that describe reliable, easy-to-follow methods that accelerate and simplify the procedure of biological and medical experiments in order to save time, maximize the scientific productivity and help us explore science.
We are seeking the refinements and simplification on both novel and traditional protocols from all fields of biological, medical and clinical sciences including, but not limited to: Biochemistry and Molecular biology, Biotechnology, Bioinformatics and Epigenetics, Biomedical Science, Cancer Biology, Ecology, Microbiology, Model organisms, Plant biology and horticulture, System Biology, Medical and Clinical Sciences.
We are also welcome the review articles and short communications of recent technical and methodological developments.

Hougner Protocols in Biomedical Sciences (HPBS) (ISSN 2410-2555) is the world’s first peer-reviewed journal devoted to publish both POSITIVE and NEGATIVE results of the detail protocols in all fields of biological, medical and clinical sciences. Our goal is to help scientists, students, clinical doctors to overcome two of the biggest challenges facing the scientific research community today; poor reproducibility and the time and labor intensive nature of learning new techniques.
We welcome the protocols from all fields of biological, medical and clinical sciences including, but not limited to:
Biochemistry and Molecular biology
Bioinformatics and Epigenetics
Biomedical Science: Biomaterials; Nanotechnology, Biophysics
Plant biology and horticulture
System Biology: Genomics; Transcriptomics; Proteomics; Metabolomics and Metallomics
Medical and Clinical Sciences: Cardiology, Radiology, Dentistry, Urology
HPBS publishes articles, videos and reviews related to the modification of existing protocols or the development of new protocols. We understand the pain of protocol optimization or development and respect the value of your effort. Therefore, HPBS also offers the opportunities for the authors to publish their negative results, lessons of protocol development and optimization as well as comments on the current protocols.
Responsibility for the academic editors:
(1) Pre-evaluate the submitted manuscript (2) Look for the reviewers and send the manuscript out for peer-review. The editor could also be the reviewer. (3) Collect the reviewers’ comments and make the final decision for the manuscript (4) Communicate with the corresponding author of the manuscript. (5) Contribute at least one manuscript each year for the journal if possible. Publication fee will be waived for the editors.
HPBS Editorial Team
HPBS has established a strong international editor board team. All our board members are from well-known universities, industries and hospitals all over the world with diverse expertise in biological and medical sciences. The editor board members are working closely with the editor-in-chief and associate editors to ensure the highest quality of papers we published.
